painting outdoors was so much fun

it was very refreshing to go outside and paint. the weather wasnt too hot so i was able to stay out and create without fear of burning up.

i finished painting the birdhouse

this was a long term project that started during my time of art funk. for the longest time, all i had was a green birdhouse. i just couldnt bring zieself to paint it fully.

 

i am very glad my art funk is gone. it is enjoyable to paint. i think the birdhouse looks beautiful. i also feel my style is evolving because i experimented so much with painting this birdhouse.
when the weather is nice, it is enjoyable to paint outside

Tw likes working on his garden. we have a variety of pepper plants. the weather was beautiful, so i went out into my yard and painted.

i think this sketch turned out really well.

the inspiration grew, so i painted in my backyard as well

we have a tree in our backyard that was hollow in the middle. it had to be cut down. the remains are still in the yard. so i did two sketches of it.

i really like the colors and how expressionistic it feels. i also luv the background trees. 

 

the butterfly was my personal favorite part. i think it is the same butterfly that hatched from its cacoon a few days prior.

prettyful flower bush in my front yard had to be painted

it sprouts these beautiful pink flowers. it was so irresistible that it ended up in my sketchbook.

 

i also saw a yellow butterfly. it may have been the same butterfly from the other day with the garden painting.

sketching at henderson park at 7 in the morning

we went to henderson park early in the morning to clean it up. well, tw cleaned the pond as there were a lot of fishing lures in it. i went so that i could sketch.

later that day, we went to the second park we know of: kelly cofer park. i sketched there too. Tw went fishing but only caught turtles.

it was a very busy week. i am super thankful that i got to create art outside.
