so i varnished my narwhal painting from a few weeks ago.

but after varnishing it, i realized i should’ve took fotos first. oh well. i will remember that for next time.

i created two new zombie girl sketches. 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️ it was very fun and detailed

i created a sketch of a zombie girl reading a book and a sketch of a zombie girl with a floating head. the zombie in the library is meant to be a comfort book nook sort of thing. the floating head zombie was made to show off her dress.

i had a bad nightmare to where i woke up super early.😢😴

i then crashed around 10 and woke up at 2. i just feel so blah. 🙃

 

i dreamt i was in a cult. i was trying to escape from the cult only to be brought back by other cult leaders.

 

it was a scary dream. 😰

i taped down my next piece of watercolor paper for my next zombie project.

i have a large roll of paper made by canson, so it makes it difficult to cut down to size. it keeps wanting to roll back up. my piece ended up being 16in x 19.5in. i measured three different times but it was still kinda lobsided due to the previous deckled edges.

i sketched out the floating head zombie because i want the library zombie to be on a bigger piece of paper.

i dont use my canson roll of paper for watercolor on its own. i put my diy watercolor ground on top of it. 

 

for this project though, i didn’t add my watercolor ground. i didn’t add it because i am using flashe paint. this paper is not 100% cotton so it needs watercolor ground to be able to use the nice fluttery watercolor effects.

i painted the floating head zombie girl.

 i really like how it turned out. i luv all the swirls in the background too. i think i created the inside of the body pretty well too. 

 

it is very creepy looking while still being beautiful. kinda like a beautiful nightmare. 🧟‍♀️👩🏿‍🎨
