i finished reading the undetaking of lily chen, so now i get to go to the library 📚

the undertaking of lily chen (not an affiliate link) is a grafic novel that i read. i really enjoyed its art style and the story was alright.

i checked out three books from the library. it was a fun trip.

i also did some people watching and drawing. 👩🏿‍🎨

i did some sketches while i was at the doctor as well as another macabre sketch of a lady

these sketches turned out really well. i particularly like the ribbed caged woman. 💀
daniel and i went to wine and whimsey's in downtown tucker for a book signing event

daniel is friends with the author and bought a lot of her books. the book the author was promoting is called sour grapes. (not an affiliate link) i didn’t buy anything but i did get a lot of sketching done! 🥳👩🏿‍🎨
i got to go to scraplanta for the second time!

scraplanta is a magical place. they sell gently used arts and crafts supplies. 🖌️✏️🗒️ they also have tons of scrapbooking stuffs. it is a hodge podge of all sorts of things. since georgia has scad atlanta, a lotta of those students take their used art supplies to scraplanta. 

 

it is a wonderful place for someone like me because i am on a limited budget. i found so many treasures there. i cannot wait to go back! 💐💐💐

they put everything in a supernatural bag. i luv the show supernatural, so this made me extra happy. 😇

it was such an amazing trip. they have larger canvases too but i didn’t buy any because i do not know how to ship large works of art. 

 

i also have used the tri art sludge as a primer for my paintings. it works well, but it takes a few coats to cover anything.

 

i had such an amazing week. the scraplanta trip truly brought a smile to my face. i was grinning from ear to ear while being there. 🤩
