daniel's birthday was on the 18th of september. 🎂🎂🎂 they had a lotta fun

daniel’s mama came to visit us for a few days. she treated us to the fancy southern restaurant, Matthew’s. Cafeteria. 🍗🥣 it was delicious. i ate fried chicken with mac and cheese and green peas.

i went to church and painted more on the bookshelf that i have been working on.

i painted owls. the shelf is looking amazing. everyone who has seen it at church really likes it too.

i waited and waited and waited to get my medication.

but i couldnt get my medication because the doctor never sent them in. i waited as long as i could, but i got to a point where i couldnt wait anymore. 😪 i got very agitated and anxious and went back to church.

while i was waiting for the therapist and for the doctor to deliver my meds, i did a lotta people sketching.

honestly, sketching people is what kept me sane. it helped me to focus on something other than my anxiety and hunger. it was very enjoyable.

we had community dinner on friday. the jewish kids group were our guests.

the jewish kids group have a small afterschool program that meets at our church. the kids are very active and rambunctious. they are so entertaining, endearing, and sweet. 😁🥰

it was nice getting to know the staff who run the program. im glad they had a great time eating with us. also, alex brought a tub of ice cream, so i got to eat lots of strawberry ice cream. 🍦🍦

at church on sunday, we had our second break bread together. this time, we talked about outreach.

break bread together is a different type of service where for communion, we have a large potluck and discuss a certain topic about the church. it is very informal and more about us being in community with one another.

we discussed outreach. because there was food, we were grouped by tables. so each table had a scribe who wrote what we discussed. each scribe then read what we talked about to the whole church.

one of the points that kept being brought up was that we really need an outreach chair person. we talked about other stuff too, but this point stood out to me.

leigh gave me my next painting project. she really likes my owl shelf and said that i can keep it because it looks like a masterpiece. 👩🏿‍🎨

leigh wants me to paint a napkin holder. she also gave me some mondo llama paints. i later found out mondo llama is a target brand. i had to google it because i never go to target.

she gave me the colors: sugary cereals pink, white, and fresh pavement (black). i havent used these colors yet though.

i had a super busy week. but i am glad i got to eat a lotta food. i also cannot wait to try out the mondo llama colors.
